If there was a thunderstorm and I woke up in the middle of the night, I was CERTAIN that lightening would strike my new husband. I would lay awake with my hand on his chest and pray so hard that he would be protected from the storm. It was almost a debilitating fear. Thankfully, through prayer and Bible study, the fear doesn't over take me as much or as often. Of course, there are times but i truly have to pray them away. One thing that helped me was writing out God's promises of protection and I put them up all over our house so I would always be reminded of them. That really helped me remember to focus on God's word rather than my fear.
